The participants rode in the dark over a technical course of 29 or 38 kilometers with numerous surprises along the way.
One of the most striking passages was through the church of Kortemark. The participants entered through the main entrance, past the altar and out again under the approving eye of a sister who gave them a symbolic blessing.
The fire station was also part of the route. There, the participants cycled between fire trucks and flashing lights.
