Last Tuesday, the man from Roeselare brutally killed the 73-year-old man in a house on the Molenweg in Izegem. He will now stay in jail for a month longer. Olivia Delille, suspect’s lawyer: “They have decided to continue detaining my client, of course. The investigation is ongoing, so there are still many substantive questions. The qualification is murder, a hammer was used.”
The suspect has an on-again, off-again relationship with a homeless woman who has a drug problem. That woman stayed with the victim for a while. The suspect came by to pick up things from his girlfriend. Then things apparently got out of hand.
