The biggest star in the Saudi football league has extended his contract. Cristiano Ronaldo will play for the club Al-Nassr for another two years.
“Al Nassr Forever” says Cristiano Ronaldo in a video that the club from Riad posted on the “X” platform. The superstar from Portugal has been under contract with the club from Riad since 2023, and his contract was originally expired on June 30th.
Top scorer last season
After there were rumors about a change of the 40-year-old Portuguese in front of the club World Cup, the contract extension at Al-Nassr had already announced itself. For Al-Nassr, Ronaldo has scored 93 goals in 105 games so far and became the Saudi Pro League with 25 goals last season.
In the final table, however, Ronaldo and Al-Nassr only landed in disappointing third place. The Portuguese international, who most recently won the Nations League, is currently still there without a coach at Al-Nassr. The association announced on Wednesday that the previous coach Stefano Pioli resigned. The Italian is said to be faced with a commitment to AC Florence.
