3rd league: Viktoria Köln brings Henning, Deichmann to FC Ingolstadt

Two transfers in the 3rd division

FC Viktoria Köln strengthened the midfield center with Bryan Henning. The 28-year-old joins Eintracht Braunschweig on a free transfer. Henning made 26 appearances (two goals) for the second division team last season.

“Bryan Henning was one of our absolute dream players, we’re really happy that he chose us. We’re getting a player who certainly had other options. But we were able to convince him in the talks that he can also develop personally with us and that his quality and experience as a leading player will bring the team a step further. We are a club that suits him very well, both personally and in terms of football. The talks with Olaf Janßen were trusting right from the start and the views of football between coach and player were identical,” said sporting director Stephan Küsters.

Deichmann moves from 1860 Munich to FC Ingolstadt

League competitor FC Ingolstadt 04 is also upgrading. Yannick Deichmann joins the “Schanzern” from TSV 1860 Munich. The 28-year-old, who is also based in central midfield, made 36 appearances last season and was directly involved in eight goals.

“We are very pleased that in Yannick Deichmann we can welcome a player to our ranks who can hold several positions both on offense and on defence. He is a down-to-earth footballer with an outstanding mentality, who also has plenty of third-division experience. We are convinced that because of his attitude, he will play an important leading role on and off the pitch in our team,” explained sporting director Dietmar Beiersdorfer.
