It was a nerve -wracking game in Saarbrücken. In the end, the FCS wins against Verl and remains in the promotion race.
The 1. FC Saarbrücken started the game powerfully – the hosts caused danger in the first ten minutes. In the 17th minute the rang in the goal of the SC Verl.

The second half began with a decision at least worth discussing: the referee decided in the 50th minute on a penalty for the FCS. Krüger converted to 3: 1. Happiness for the blue-blacks-a damper for the guests who started the game better after the change of sides.

However, the three-goal lead did not last long. Just two minutes later, Verlen shortened by Berkan Taz to 4: 2. Preliminary work did Lars Lokotsch, who set the ball in the penalty area and served taz.
Afterwards, Verl did not give up and demanded the Saarbrücken defense again and again. The blue-blacks also had to perform the last minutes in the outnumbered: Calogero Rizzuto saw the yellow-red card after a foul on Timur Gayret.
