What an afternoon in the Grünwalder: TSV 1860 Munich celebrates a furious liberation in the relegation battle against the favorite favorite Energie Cottbus. With great football, the Giesinger dismantled the top team from the Lausitz.
The Grünwald stadium suddenly becomes a home fortress for 1860 Munich in the end of the season. The second worst home team received second place in Cottbus on Saturday and also won in height with 5: 1 (3: 0). Dickson Abiam (15th), Tunay Deniz (18th), double packer Patrick Hobsch (37th/50th) and Julian Guttau (89.) caused clear conditions early on when the sixties appeared.
Despite the gate: in 1860 energy overrules energy early
The lions made a rocket start. Already in the fourth minute there was great excitement after Soichiro Kozuki pressed the ball well above the goal line. Referee Felix Bickel continued to play. The home side stayed on and rewarded themselves for their courageous start after a quarter of an hour: Abiama processed a long ball and lifted the ball ice cold over goalkeeper Elias Bethke into the goal.
Just three minutes later, Deniz sank a free kick in the goalkeeper corner. The sixties were very present in the duels and switched dangerously. In the 37th minute, the strong hobsch increased to 3: 0. The center forward was back in the team after a dismissed lock and immediately again linchpin.

Even after 15 minutes half -time break and a whopping four Cottbuser, the otherwise weak lions did not burn at Giesing’s heights. The Glöckner elf let the ball and opponents run and scored immediately after the restart by Hobsch to 4: 0. Only now did Cottbus slowly go to participate in the encounter. Because the lions visibly let the reins grind, Cottbus came through Timmy Thiele to 4: 1, more no longer came from Claus-Dieter Wollitz’s eleven.
Exemption at home for Munich
For the lions it was the third home win in a row. And that after the Munich team could just collect seven points in the Grünwalder in the first half of the season. Due to the victory, the TSV makes a leap into the first half of the table in tenth. The lead over the first relegation area has grown to six points before the end.
