A 21-year-old man from Emmen was killed in the shooting in Coevorden on the Kromme Elleboog last night. The police are looking for one or more suspects. An 18-year-old man from Schoonebeek has been arrested for possible involvement in the shooting. His possible role is still being investigated.
The shooting happened last night around 3 p.m. The emergency services found the 21-year-old seriously injured. The man was rushed to the hospital and later died of his injuries.
The police started a major investigation because of the seriousness of the incident and investigates what exactly happened before the shooting. The police report that witnesses have seen a dark -colored passenger car in Kerkstraat after the incident. That car was run into the Botersteeg. The police call witnesses, people who know more about the circumstances of the incident or the car that has been seen to report.
