2.2 million Ryanair airplane seats will disappear: this means for ticket prices and for Charleroi Airport

Airline Ryanair is eliminating a total of 2.2 million passenger seats in our country. CEO Michael O’Leary announced this in his well-known no-nonsense style. Why does he do that? Will airline ticket prices increase now? And will we be able to fly to fewer destinations from Charleroi airport? “The dumping prices of 10 or 20 euros for a ticket are definitely a thing of the past,” says aviation economist Wouter Dewulf (University of Antwerp).
