The new original production by Sky Sport is underway “1996, The Year of Del Piero”an intense and engaging story that recalls the period in which Alessandro Del Piero became a legend of world football, defined by himself as the year that changed his life. The narrative voice will be that of Alex himself, in a sort of stream-of-consciousness monologue, which he will deliver standing in the center of the studio, surrounded by images and archive contributions from that historic season. A new perspective, which through the eyes of those who experienced those moments firsthand, will allow you to experience some special behind the scenes. At the center of the story will be the Champions League won in Rome at the end of the final against Ajax and decided on penalties. To accompany the vision there will also be contributions from four journalists who experienced those events up close: Bruno Longhi, Massimo Marianella, Darwin Pastorin and Paolo Condòwho in 1996 was a correspondent for the Gazzetta dello Sport.
