At 1860 Munich, club president Robert Reisinger does not compete for another term. The farewell is not quite voluntary.
Another unrest at 1860 Munich. The traditional club will soon get a new president. Gernot Mang is said to be the successor to Robert Reisinger, who had taken over the office almost eight years ago and is no longer available. This emerges from the published proposals of the “Löwen” board of directors. In addition to Mang, Vice President Christian Dierl, Peter Schaefer and Heinz Schmidt are to compete.
In a message from the 1860 Board of Directors, it says to say goodbye to Reisinger: “The board of directors would like to thank the outgoing presidium members Robert Reisinger, Karl-Christian Bay and Norbert Steppe for their long-standing outstanding voluntary work for TSV Munich from 1860.”
The farewell to Reisinger was probably not as peaceful as the message suggests. At least that suggests an interview by the outgoing president with the “Bild” newspaper. According to this, the 1860 board of Reisinger sawed off. Reisinger himself claims to have learned from the decision “while drinking coffee through the press release”.
Asked why he is not running for any further term, Reisinger said: “Neither I nor my vice presidents were asked by the Board of Directors.” According to the association’s statute, the committee is responsible for the right of proposal for the election to the Presidium, explained Reisinger. “There is nothing more to say on my side,” said Reisinger.
