Thousands of flights from, to and within the US were again canceled on Sunday due to the advancing omikron variant of the corona virus and severe weather in the east of the country. Sunday’s 2,500 canceled and 6,400 delayed flights are in addition to 2,700 cancellations Saturday and 1,300 Friday (New Year’s Eve).
