130 flights canceled at Schiphol due to storm Isha

Storm Isha will cause strong gusts of wind in North Holland tonight and tomorrow morning. Schiphol has announced that 130 flights will be cancelled, of which 65 are return flights from KLM.

Following the storm, Air Traffic Control the Netherlands has issued limited runway capacity for Schiphol on Monday, making fewer flights possible. KLM subsequently made the decision to cancel flights.

This concerns destinations within Europe, a spokesperson for the airline told NH. “This is very unfortunate for our customers whose flights have been cancelled,” the spokesperson said. These customers have been informed and will be rebooked on another flight.

Not only KLM will be affected by the storm. “Schiphol takes limited air traffic into account,” said a Schiphol spokesperson. How many flights will be canceled and by which airlines remains to be seen.
