112 news: bags full of drugs in the attic • holiday home burns down

09.54 – Few kilos of weed and amphetamine found in the attic
In the attic of a house on the Kwaadeindstraat in Tilburg, the police found a large amount of hemp and amphetamine. Officers went to take a look at the house after an anonymous tip. Someone thought there might be a cannabis farm in the house.

The resident let the officers in. They found bags full of drugs in the attic of the house. A total of 4.5 kilos of hemp buds and 3.5 kilos of amphetamine. The resident was immediately arrested.

06.29 – Two cars destroyed by fire
Two passenger cars were destroyed by a fire on Sterndonk in Veghel. Initially, one car was on fire, but when the fire brigade arrived at Sterndonk, another car had also fallen prey to the flames. That second car was on fire in the front. The fire probably spread from one car to another.

06.21 – House on holiday park Ulicoten burns down
A fierce fire raged at a holiday park in Ulicoten last night. Around a quarter to two in the night a fire broke out in one of the houses. The flames were meters high and could be seen from the surrounding area. Firefighters were unable to prevent the entire house from burning down.

It is not yet clear how the fire started. According to the owner of the house, the lights started flashing, after which he discovered the fire, he told our 112 correspondent. During the extinguishing, one of the bystanders became unwell, an ambulance was called for that.

03.26 – Bank on fire in vacant building
A small fire raged in an empty house in Genderen on Saturday evening. The house on Hoofdstraat would be on fire, but once it arrived, the fire brigade saw that it turned out to be a sofa that was inside. The house has been empty for years. It is unclear how the sofa started to burn. There may be vandalism.

00.46 – Car fire in Waalwijk
A car at the Looierij in Waalwijk went up in flames just before midnight on Saturday evening. The car was parked close to a house. That house was slightly damaged, but the fire did not spread.

Bystanders would have seen the car set on fire. The fire brigade came with three fire trucks to the burning car, but it could no longer be saved. The police are investigating the fire.

23.40 – Car collides with oncoming traffic in Breda
Two cars collided on Fellenoordstraat in Breda on Saturday evening. The driver of one car collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle. He tried to avoid the oncoming car, but couldn’t go anywhere.

According to a 112 correspondent, the driver was under the influence. He was taken to the police station. The other driver was taken home by neighbors. Both cars had to be towed away.
