The last edition of this column cost me quite nerves in advance (and even afterwards). But I really wanted to do it. The text simply represents a concern for me- especially in the current mixture and emotional situation of global pop.
For this episode, I would like to steer you (and me) again in emphasized peaceful waters. Although I would like to start with a diss: this year one of the hype encounters the supposedly so intelligent artificial intelligence on all social platforms. Even at WhatsApp, a stupid meta-Ki button is now a prominent. What should you ask that? What to write Mutti in the next message? This omnipresent robotic gaugers everywhere represents one of the central frustration experiences on the Internet. And frankly, I also count the long-established algorithms that want to introduce you to new music today. At least from my side, your recommendations are whistled. I lack the surprise, the hornyness, chance and, above all, the content aspect of music. Not everything can be validated via beats by minute and other digital parameters. 01 Molly Punch
Somewhere in the catacombs under the Powerstadt Essen in the legendary Ruhr area. The establishment in which I am in is also a stage in addition to the bar. And what kind of one! With a lot of love and above all with a painted building foam, you live in a quite quite impression. I am actually here because of a celebration and I have no idea who the trio should be, which suddenly enters the stage. I only notice that the drummer has the most positive charisma that I have ever perceived since Poldi the dragon of “Hello Spencer”. The other two look concentrated and cool. Together they set up an exaggerated Tightes board of state-of-the-art riot-grrrl sound. “Tightes board”? Auweia, I’m already sounding like the vision magazine. But it should still fit from the description. To this day I am in love with shock. In June I see Molly Punch from Cologne (and then in Cologne) again. I’m very happy. You will tell me what to do.

02 millhope – Truth or Dare
In my enthusiasm for the Ascension Pop of the former Fortuna Ehenfeld keyboardist Jenny Thiele I came across this hairstyle man. He produced Jenny’s album space, but is also a musician himself. His cutting -edge album Truth or Dare works instrumental and electronically. Thomas Mühlhoff Aka Millhope manages to create his own knowledge without any word. This chill wave is equally spherical, hypnotic and euphoric. Smart music to feel good. As if the title song from Captain Future had been made to a record of the present time.

03 Paul Sies – my beautiful neck
Speaking of Jenny Thiele. It was (and is) on tour with the Berlin Glamourpop-Dandy Paul Sies. My lyrical furor paired with gently wistful pop has also noticed elsewhere. Songs about coke and despair, about melancholy and delusion. When I hear his song “Ass -face with Undercut”, I would like to comment on: “I find myself in this piece and it is uncomfortable for me.” Based on a complaint that could be submitted to Facebook in terms of photos. 04 ok no – glow
Urmel from the egg, Emopunk from the Mauerstadt Berlin. Of course you think of turbosted state when you switch on here. But I think of this guitar and referral band is still a bit suckspäd- and Küfa-Swag. So it is not just the crying in an angular, aesthetic pain, but this is somehow a handout. And if you would dig a sound enough in their heavy tons, you would probably get out in a gazebo at a hippie point party at some point. Nice idea actually.

05 the Gang 350 – too
I don’t want to show, but I have a number of cassettes from Frankfurt’s most exciting post-wave band. However, this is not so much because of my pop culture, but because one of the duo obviously found my address and has been sending MCS since then. As a frosted music journo, I even listened to it – and I’m now a fan.
A very own mixture of dark EA80 and pulsating octavbass magic. Existentialism for a new generation of interesting glasses wearers: inside. The exile-Dillenburg band itself does not require visual aid. It won’t get any better.

06 loik
A podcast can also be a lava lamp. I love the self -talk of Claudius Loik (once) Greifswald. His podcast is called “Music and more” and the protagonist archives and his countless DIY publications in it. He sits in a garden shed for hours, drinks beer, smokes and looks at a small section of his work again under the microscope. An overshare study that some psychologists would lick all the paws. As a result, Claudius has grown in a kind of dear to my heart like special figures on the “Lindenstrasse”. And since he primarily tells himself about the music, of course I got to know them and recommend the piece here-with the trashy to intensive AI video. 07 Ell – boring

08 Mondo Sangue – Diamantics
How I just listen to elegant music! Even your mother is amazed. But how can you not love Mondo Sangue from Stuttgart? A duo from the supervisor scene there. Deeply overgrown in the stylish cock pop and in many different contexts at home. The main thing is that it is about passion and music. Her latest record diamantic is easy listening from another (very noble) star. I would even love these songs if I were not always so busy. Definitely aesthetic and sympathy values through the ceiling.
09 Low Life Rich Kids – “Nnndw”
Protest pop from Austria. Why is everything always a new mega trend, why does the hot shit of today cool down again in the time-lapse? Coco Brell, Mara Romei and Bernhard Eder attack the pop machinery struggle very entertaining with this piece. I personally love the jabber around the next micro hype, but I like this piece, on the other hand, (or because of it) so much.
10 Bierbabes – “Bon Voyage Ibiza”
A piece that I am guaranteed to put in my annual charts. But the band (already the fourth duo in this list) still seems unknown to me. Not long, of course – these “dreamy Ballermann sounds” will find their goal. Your current piece “Bon Voyage Ibiza” including the lines “Pensioner mode, best life / aquajogging, crossword puzzle”.
11 Hanne Haller – “Take your bed into the pub”
Speaking of beer Babes … here is a song that really no AI in the world would ever suggest. These poor fools! It dates from 1994 and from the pop singer Hanne Haller. In an interview, Meme-Guru Sveamaus talked about one of her favorite artists about Margot Werner.
