Schweinfurt wins in the scandal game
Traditional club climbs into the 3rd league

First excitement, then ecstasy: regional league Schweinfurt is back in professional football, but experiences a turbulent evening.
The 1. FC Schweinfurt rose prematurely to the 3rd league. The traditional club secured the title in the Regionalliga Bavaria by a 2: 1 (1: 0) in the heated main frank tender to the Würzburg kickers.
In a chaotic final phase, the game had to be interrupted after the guest block ignited pyrotechnics and hit the field onto the field. Due to the home win, the team of coach Victor Kleinhenz developed a lead of ten points on pursuers SpVgg Bayreuth two games before the end – the ascent is perfect prematurely.
An own goal of Ebrahim Farahnak in the fifth minute put the hosts in the lead. After the second interruption and another fireworks escalation, the game was finally whistled at 9:11 p.m. The Bavarian Football Association sharply condemned the behavior of some Würzburg supporters. The riots were “shameful”. It also said: “The fact that people’s health is intentionally endangered is unacceptable.” The processes will be processed and consistently punished.
For Schweinfurt it is an emotional return to professional football. Since the 2013/2014 season, the club has played in the regional league Bayern, and was previously fifth -class. Schweinfurt has a long history and played a total of four years in the 2nd Bundesliga. Most recently, the club mixed in the 2001/02 season, but rose directly again.
