We are therefore very pleased that he will shape our talents in the future and accompany them on their path,” said sports director Joti Chatzialexiou about the former Bundesliga top scorer. Mintál added: “When the request came, it quickly became clear that this was a role that I identified with and that I thrived in. I am pleased about the trust shown by those in charge and about my new role in the club’s young talent.”

In terms of finances, the Franconians presented transfer income of 52.4 million euros for the 2024/25 season for the first time in the club’s history. These can be attributed to the top sales of Stefanos Tzimas (for 26.5 million euros to Brighton), Can Uzun (for 12 million to Eintracht Frankfurt), Finn Jeltsch (for 9.5 million to VfB Stuttgart) and Jens Castrop (for 4.5 million to Mönchengladbach). Best values are also a profit of 13 million euros in the eV and a turnover of 105.1 million euros. However, the expenses also amount to 92.1 million euros.
There was no news from coach Miroslav Klose. It had previously been rumored that an extension with the 47-year-old beyond 2026 could be announced at the meeting. “I discussed with him two or three weeks ago that we wanted to wait for the next few weeks and then we would sit down after the preliminary round and hopefully have something positive to announce in the media,” said Chatzialexiou.
According to “Sky”, the working paper with Klose is to be extended by at least two years. The 2014 world champion joined SCR Altach in Nuremberg in the summer of 2024 after a rather unfortunate stint. Last year he achieved By far the youngest team in the league Tenth place and impressed with a goal-threatening offensive. After top performers like Jander, Castrop and Tzimas left the FCN, the start of the season was disappointing. Klose still got things going, got 14 points from the last seven games and only lost against Hertha BSC.
