After a good start to the season, second division promoted Arminia Bielefeld is in the middle of a relegation battle at the turn of the year. So that the East Westphalians don’t have to go back to the 3rd league, they want to improve the squad in the winter transfer window. According to “Sky”, the transfer of Semir Telalovic from 1. FC Nürnberg is about to be completed.
Accordingly, Nuremberg and Bielefeld have agreed on a loan from Telalovic until the end of the season, which includes a purchase option of 850,000 euros. This would move the 26-year-old attacker to 14th place among Arminia’s most expensive signings, ahead of Bryan Lasme and Sibusiso Zuma. After Robin Hack, Julian Kania, Dario Vidosic and Manuel Wintzheimer, Telalovic would be Bielefeld’s fifth newcomer from Nuremberg since 2000.
In the summer, Nuremberg paid 300,000 euros for Telalovic to relegated SSV Ulm, for whom he scored twelve goals in 29 games in the 2nd Bundesliga. He was unable to confirm these good performances in Nuremberg, as he only managed one goal in nine games. Most recently, he hardly played a role in Miroslav Klose’s plans. His market value has almost halved since he moved to Nuremberg – from 1.5 million to 800,000 euros.
