Change to third division promoted Ulm
Léo Scienza leaves 1. FC Magdeburg after a year and joins SSV Ulm. As the third division promoted announced, the 24-year-old left winger signed a contract until 2025. For the Brazilian, Ulm is the third stop in Germany after Magdeburg and FC Schalke 04 II. He made twelve appearances for FCM, the last of which was in November 2022.
“Léo’s last season didn’t go as well as both sides had imagined. So the step into the 3rd division with SSV Ulm will do him good and give him more match practice,” said sporting director Otmar Schork.
Ulm’s managing director Markus Thiele said about the ninth new signing for the coming season, who also has Luxembourgish citizenship: “Léo Scienza gives us even more opportunities on offense and we are happy that he has decided to join SSV. Now it is important to quickly integrate him into the team so that he can help us achieve our goals.”
