Since the end of the winter transfer window, midfielder Afeez Aremu has no longer belonged to the 1st FC Kaiserslautern matchday squad. According to reports, the 25-year-old is about to move to the Russian first division club Akhmat Grozny. Accordingly, the second division club and the Nigerian have already dissolved the contract, which was originally running on the Betzenberg until 2026, to enable Aremu to make a transfer even after the Deadline Day in the Premier League. However, an official confirmation of the change is still pending.
As the “Bild” newspaper reports on Friday, Aremu was already in the Groznys training camp in Turkey for negotiations.
