The art academy’s audits have a long history. In June last school year, the education inspectorate carried out an inspection into the areas of habitability, safety and hygiene in the buildings of the art academy. The academy then received negative advice for the fifth time, and the municipality appealed. But even after a new inspection at the end of November, the unfavorable advice remains valid. “The inspection report states that the academy and the municipal council have already made efforts, but that the concrete implementation of the bridging options and the follow-up of the dynamic risk management system do not yet meet the wishes of the inspection,” explains Arthur Buckens, the new alderman for Education.
