Zverev start planned for Tuesday

According to the current status, Olympic champion Alexander Zverev will only be the last German tennis professional to join the French Open on Tuesday at the end of the first round. This emerges from the plans of the organizers for the appointments.

The 26-year-old was eliminated in the semi-finals of the ATP tournament in Geneva and will meet South African Lloyd Harris in the first round at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris.

At the start of the first round on Sunday, only Oscar Otte against the Russian Alexander Schewtschenko and Jule Niemeier against last year’s semi-finalist Darja Kassatkina from Russia are out of a total of seven German professionals.

On Monday Jan-Lennard Struff should intervene against the Czech Jiri Lehecka and Daniel Altmaier against Marc-Andrea Hüsler from Switzerland. In addition, the first round games of Tatjana Maria against Beatriz Haddad Maia and Anna-Lena Friedsam against the Japanese Nao Hibino are also planned for Monday. The appointments for Monday are based on the premise that all games on Sunday could be completed.
