The 21-year-old Hedl went through all the youth series at Rapid Vienna, but has so far only played three times for the main squad of the Austrian club. At Rapid Wien II, which is active in the Austrian second division, the promising international has already scored eleven goals and three assists in thirteen games this season.
“I’m looking forward to working at Essevee,” Hedl says on the Zulte Waregem website. “The interest has been there for a while, so I was able to watch some matches on TV. I enjoyed watching this team at work and am really looking forward to being part of the group and getting to know everyone.” Zulte Waregem leads the Challenger Pro League rankings with 37 points. The West Flemish team will resume the competition on Saturday evening (8 p.m.) with a home match against Patro Eisden.
