Zeebrugge port vacancies from now on on online job point

The new online platform – havenjobs.com – will bundle all vacancies in the industry, logistics and maritime sector for both Antwerp and Zeebrugge. For the platform, the port authority is working with, among others, the employment agency VDAB and employers’ organization Voka. There are also various partnerships with education.

For a long time, the port lacked a central point where all jobs were in the spotlight. But from now on, job seekers will find all vacancies on a central website. You can use filters such as location, job domain and type of work contract. Applying is then done directly with the relevant company or temporary employment agency.

Need for suitable employees

“There is a need for numerous ICT specialists, accountants, technically trained personnel, process operators, administrative and commercial talent and much more”, says the port. “Fictional drawings with port giants should attract the attention of young people, job seekers and lateral entrants in the streets and on social media in the coming months.”

The online platform itself will cost 75,000 euros. The promotional campaign, which will run for several years, will cost 300,000 euros. There will also be job fairs and other events.
