ZDF is probably planning without Dahlmeier replacement

After the death of Laura Dahlmeier, the ZDF has now reacted. With regard to winter sports reporting, the question of the replacement was concerned.
After the fatal accident of Olympic champion Laura Dahlmeier in July, ZDF will do without a replacement of her role as a biathlon expert in the coming winter season. The “picture” reports. The former world-class athlete had been in use for the station since December 2019.
Dahlmeier died on July 28 on a mountain tour in the Karakorum Mountains in Pakistan. During the descent from Laila Peak in the Hushe Valley, she was hit by a rockfall. Her death was officially confirmed two days later.
“Laura Dahlmeier was an exceptional athlete who always went new ways away from the professional sport. She has brought Biathlon sports to the ZDF audience knowledgeable and authentically,” ZDF sports director Yorck Polus is quoted in the report. Ex-biathlete Denise Herrmann-Wick, with whom Dahlmeier had previously shared the role before, will be in action as an expert.
Just recently, Dahlmeier’s manager had commented on the tragic death. The weeks after Dahlmeier’s death were an exceptional situation for her as a manager, familiar and mourners, wrote Sophie Schröder on the “LinkedIn” platform. She thanked Dahlmeier in recent years at Dahlmeier: “We were a strong team – you are missing”.
