The Spanish clothing retailer Zara is opening a new store in Mönchengladbach.
The approximately 3,000 square meter store opened its doors in the Minto shopping center, said Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (UWR), the operator of the mall, on Wednesday. The opening is planned for the third quarter of 2023.
“With the upcoming Zara flagship store, we are making a statement in the Minto brand mix and strengthening its role as a central point of contact for fashion, lifestyle and trends in the city and region around Mönchengladbach,” said Constantin Wiesmann, Director of Leasing Austria & Germany at URW.
According to the Minto website, the shopping center currently has more than 40 stores selling fashion, shoes and accessories. These include Zara’s direct competitors Mango and H&M. But German clothing suppliers such as the S.Oliver Group, Walbusch and New Yorker are also represented.
