“We already enjoyed walking with Lucky – a Frisian Stabij of now 5 years – but everything had to be on a lead, because in a residential area a dog can walk on the road. At our house there was green, but every time walking the line is not really fun or varied.”

“Every day we drove to the Zevenhuizerplas, about 20 minutes from our house, or closer in a nature reserve or to the beach; more than an hour drive. We would like to have the distances for her, but it was quite a hassle with a bench and towels if the weather was less.”

“We already considered emigration to Spain, because of the space and the weather: we found the Netherlands very busy and we also found the run -up and aftermath of fireworks a lot, so we were looking for a quiet place where we could enjoy nature. Lucky was only 6 months old when we moved four years ago.”

“Now we get out of the door every day and we are in the Rambla, on the edge of the Sierra Almagrera Mountains. Just behind it is the sea; a beautiful coastline with the most beautiful bays and beaches, two of which are two dog beaches, we drive there in 9 minutes.”

“There are many possibilities to let her out, there are so many unspoilt paths; we can choose. She loves to run in the Rambla behind the rabbits, looking for lizards and turtles in the water or jumps after the frogs. We take her with us, she is never longer than four hours a week alone.”

“We have a beautiful front garden where the most beautiful birds are and we live outside, it is a paradise for Lucky. If you have pets, you have a responsibility to offer them a good life, we think. That will only work if you have a good life yourself, that responsibility is also you. very happy here, and so do we! ”
