“The club’s management has decided to terminate the contract in mutual consultation with coach Yves Vanderhaeghe. We would like to thank him and his technical staff for their period with the team,” it said.
The 53-year-old Vanderhaeghe had been working at Al-Faisaly since the summer, where he signed a one-season contract in June.
After ten match days, the team is in fifth place with 17 points. That is ten fewer than leader Al-Orobah. The top three (of eighteen teams) are promoted to the Saudi Pro League. Al-Faisaly has already appointed a successor with the 57-year-old Brazilian Marcelo Chamusca.
