The 34-year-old Lampaert has been part of the Wolfpack since 2015 and is of the riders with the longest record of the team.

The West Flanders has sixteen individual victories on its honors list, in which his prologue victory in the Tour of 2022 is particularly striking. “I am just a farmer’s son from Belgium,” he said emotionally in an unforgettable reaction after conquering the yellow jersey in Copenhagen. Lampaert also won a ride in the Vuelta (in 2017), twice through Flanders (2017 and 2018) and became Belgian champion on the road (in 2018) and in time trial (in 2017 and 2021).

“I am very happy that I can stay and get victories with the team,” says Lampaert, who in the meantime plays the role of road captain with the team. “I am also looking forward to sharing my experience with the young people, just as I could learn the trade from the more experienced riders when I had their age. I look forward to what two beautiful years will be, with great pleasure, beautiful moments and victories.”
