The club expressed its dismay: “Its deepest condolences are expressed to his family, his relatives, his teammates and the entire coaching staff. Mamadou Alpha will be remembered as a beloved, committed, always smiling young man, whose passion for football was unbroken.”
No further details will be released out of consideration for the family. Instead, they want to stand together in this difficult time. At the next home game in the Challenge League against Bellinzona, a minute’s silence is planned before kick-off.
