FC Bayern’s U19s celebrated a victory at the start of the UEFA Youth League. Head coach Michael Hartmann’s team put opponents Manchester United in their place with a score of 2-0. The goals were scored by 16-year-old center forward Robert Ramsak, who scored shortly before half-time, and U17 international Michael Scott.
“We are of course happy with how it went and that we got the win we deserved. The only thing I can accuse my team of is that we perhaps didn’t score enough goals. The boys implemented what we set out to do today and we are therefore happy about the win,” said head coach Hartmann on the club’s own channels.
Meanwhile, Union Berlin’s offspring had to narrowly admit defeat to Real Madrid with a 1-2 defeat. The “Iron” initially took the lead after a direct free kick from Julien Friedrich. In the second half, the Madrilenians, who dominated the game, equalized through Hugo de Llanos, who also prepared César Palacios’ winning goal in the final quarter of an hour.
