Munich (AP) – tennis hope Max Rehberg has lost his first match on the professional tour.

The 18-year-old from Upper Bavaria lost in the first round of the clay court tournament in Munich to the Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic 2:6, 3:6. Especially in the second set, Rehberg kept up well against the Serbs, who were around 1000 places higher in the world rankings, but lost the decisive service game to 3: 4 due to a forehand error.

Rehberg received a wild card for the traditional event at the Iphitos facility. Four other German players are in the main field. Olympic champion Alexander Zverev is number one and is scheduled to start the tournament on Wednesday.
