A young woman from Veldhoven became the victim of a serious violent crime on Tuesday evening, the police reported. The woman went for a walk at half past eight, but was found very upset by bystanders in the center of Waalre at half past twelve.
The woman indicated that she was a victim of serious violence in the rural area between Veldhoven and Waalre. It is not yet clear what exactly happened. The police have not released any information about the woman’s injuries.
The police also do not know where exactly the violence took place. She left her home in Veldhoven around half past eight and was found around half past twelve in the center of Waalre.
A special team (Large-scale Investigation Team) has been set up to immediately conduct major investigations. About 25 detectives have been deployed.
The police are calling on witnesses to come forward and share any camera images.
