Young man makes a fatal fall from shaft head on mine site in Eisden | Maasmechelen

A young man made a fatal fall from the headframe at the Terhills mining site in Eisden on Wednesday morning. The fire brigade of the emergency zone East Limburg was called for a rescue at height, but for the young man all help came too late. The local police Lanaken-Maasmechelen arrived on the scene. Subsequently, the Limburg public prosecutor’s office was also informed.
