Young and enterprising: Ona and Léon clean graves for a fee

Ona and Léon are barely 16 and 18, but brother and sister do have an entrepreneurial spirit. With their savings they set up a company: De Witte Vlinder. For a fee they come every month to clean the grave of your loved one. My grandfather died about three years ago,” says Ona. “My grandmother came to clean the grave herself, but she was physically unable to do so. We now want to help others who can no longer do that.”

Additional wishes possible

And as befits real entrepreneurs, they have several options for their customers. “We work with a monthly subscription,” says Léon, “but people can also put flowers on it on the birthday of the deceased.” After each visit, they send their customer a photo. The two start in Tielt, depending on the demand they also visit other municipalities. (read more below the video)
