The Mail e-mail program still opens, but you can’t do anything with it anymore. However, even this possibility may soon be history.
Transition to the new. The end of support for the Mail and Calendar programs included in Windows was already warned in the summer of 2024.
Support for two important programs running on Windows ended on December 31, 2024. This means that either of them could stop working at any moment.
Windows Latest website says that the Mail and Calendar programs were already warned about the end of support in the summer of 2024. After that, users of the programs began to be shown notifications in which they were tricked into using the Outlook program.
It was also possible to transfer all data from Mail and Calendar to Outlook, so the transition did not create a problem for users. Apparently, even this still hasn’t turned the heads of all users.
Outlook undoubtedly also has its own problems, the most significant of which is probably the fact that the program cannot be used without an Internet connection.
Mail and Calendar were apparently supposed to disappear completely from users at the turn of the year. However, Windows Latest found that they are still available.
However, the Mail program can no longer send or receive e-mail, but its only purpose is to read old e-mail messages.
Jahka Mail and Calendar stop working completely, the user trying to open them is redirected to Outlook. They may also be removed at least from Windows 11 with a later update.
If for some reason you haven’t switched to Outlook yet, now is a good time to do so. Otherwise, it may soon happen that the Mail and Calendar data disappear without warning into the bit space.
