In Brabant, there are eleven municipalities with fireworks-free zones during New Year’s Eve to prevent nuisance. In these areas, fireworks are not allowed between December 31 at 6 p.m. and January 1 at 2 a.m. Here you can read which places are involved.

In Eindhoven and Tilburg it is completely prohibited to light fireworks. In Breda There were previously fireworks-free zones, but the municipality is expanding this year with additional places. Breda now has a total of 22 fireworks-free areas.

The new fireworks-free zones are located at the station squares, at the Mgr. Nolensplein and at the Heksenwiel shopping center. Residential care centers Vuchterhage and De Hillen will also become fireworks-free. The zone around the Parkhoeve petting zoo is becoming larger, so that it remains quieter there.

Den Bosch
One place has been added in Den Bosch this year compared to 2024. There are a total of twenty fireworks-free zones in the entire municipality, seventeen of which are zoos. A ban also applies at the Jeroen Bosch Hospital, De Grevelingen care center and Sint Jozefoord nursing home in Nuland. Also in the nearby municipality Vught are fireworks-free zones.

Boekel
In Boekel there is a fireworks-free zone for the ‘New Year’s Jump’. During this event, motorcyclists jump through a burning hoop. You are not allowed to let off fireworks in part of Kennedystraat, part of the park at Raadstraat and in the parking lots in front of and behind the Plus supermarket.

Maashorst
In the municipality of Maashorst, a fireworks-free zone has been designated around the De Maashorst nature reserve. In Boxtel Zones around zoos in particular are fireworks-free.

Helmond
Just like last year, there are nine fireworks-free zones in Helmond, mainly around the Elkerliek hospital, various residential care centers and animal parks.

Geertruidenberg
The municipality of Geertruidenberg is adding three new zones this year. In total, care locations are taken into account in thirteen places. It is also prohibited to let off fireworks at the De Kromme Akker petting zoo in Geertruidenberg and at the roundabout on the Heemraadsingel in Raamsdonk.

Oirschot
In the municipality of Oirschot, a fireworks ban applies within a radius of three hundred meters around gas stations, residential care centers, dog and cat boarding houses, and riding schools and stables with animals.

The municipality also warns that there is a ban during opening hours of shops around the Markt, the Vrijthof, the Rijkesluisstraat and the Loop in Oirschot.

During church services in the Oirschot St. Peter’s Basilica and the Willibrordus Church in Middelbeers, fireworks are also not allowed, just like at the Boterkerkje in Oirschot.

Oosterhout
The entertainment area in the Klappeijstraat is the only fireworks-free zone in Oosterhout.

Bergeijk
In the municipality of Bergeijk, you are not allowed to let off fireworks on the square and in the porches at the Jumbo supermarket on the Elsenhof, and less than a hundred meters away from the care centers ‘t Hofhuys in Bergeijk and Lucia in Luyksgestel.

Drimmel
There is also a fireworks ban in the municipality of Drimmelen in the vicinity of nursing and care homes, animal shelters and parks and schools. In addition, no fireworks are allowed in the Biesbosch nature reserve and the inner polder of Terheijden.

Fireworks-free holiday parks
Do you really want peace? Then look for a holiday park. In various parks in Brabant you are not allowed to let off fireworks, such as at Kempen Recreatie in Veldhoven and Sandberghe in Uden. Pet owners in particular are increasingly fleeing the noise in this way.
