While the war between Israel and Hamas continues to rage in the Gaza Strip and demands victims, protests worldwide are increasing to support Palestine – also at concerts. Spector tried to find the protesters in the audience. “Where are you?” But another visitor called that the interferer was “on the way out”. Spector commented: “I thought this was different from the Internet. It is real life.” The crowd called support statements when another demonstrating according to “stereogum” called: “I see dying children. It hurts.” Spector replied: “I think you should go – that’s not the place for this conversation. I am a real person who has come here to play music. If someone wants to go – that’s your chance. Want to go for a walk?” Then some visitors left the event.
“I speak English because I fled this shit”
Spector continued: “The only reason why I speak English is that I came here to escape this shit. Pro-Palestine protests also on stage
Protesting from the stage is also protested: the band Kneecap loudly commented on Pro-Palestinian-which resulted in that it was unloaded by a Hungarian festival. Hungry in Gaza – aid organizations alarmed
The Associated Press recently reported that at least 36 Palestinians had been killed in the Gaza Strip in Israeli air strikes. In July, dozens of children and adults were starved. The United Nations World Food Program reported last week that the famine in Gaza had achieved a “new and frightening degree of despair”. A third of the population have nothing to eat for several days in a row. According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, there were 40 hunger -related deaths in July alone.
