The commentary for the Eurovision Song Contest will be done from Pasila in Helsinki this year as well.

Mikko Silvennoinen will report the Eurovision Song Contest this year from Pasila, Helsinki, and not from Vienna.
According to Yle, the decision is based on savings. The same decision was also made last year in Basel. At that time, according to Iltalehti, the so-called rent of the narration booth was around 20,000 euros. This year, the price is about the same. The price would have doubled if the commentary in Swedish had also been made on the spot.
Mikko Silvennoinen, who has narrated Viusi for several years, was on site in Vienna on Sunday and he participated, among other things, in the opening of Viusi, where he got to feel the atmosphere and meet artists and other Viusi people.
– I wish I could explain on the spot. However, I am very happy that I was able to visit here, Silvennoinen told Iltalehti in Vienna.
– I work hard to ensure that the narration is as good as on the spot.
Almost all Western European countries make their reports in Vienna. Instead, Eastern European countries report on their home countries.
Silvennoinen went to Vienna to feel the atmosphere, but unlike last year, Yle’s Swedish-speaking commentators did not get to work in the wise city at all.
Finland Linda Lampenius and Pete Parkkonen are the winning favorites of the sages. The situation is new to Silvennoinen.
– Everyone is of the opinion that we will win. It’s a really strange and new situation. In the Käärijä year, we got a little foretaste, even though we weren’t first favorites then, but challengers. Is this special!
