The public prosecutor noted that the defendant was previously sentenced to community service in February 2020 for throwing a fire extinguisher at a car that was honking its horn. A few months later, the police judge also convicted him of hit and run. The Bruges criminal court sentenced Kenneth B. to 37 months’ suspended prison sentence in March 2023, subject to conditions. The defendant had to comply with an alcohol ban, among other things.

In the meantime, B. confessed to his judicial assistant that he became aggressive in the summer of 2024 after a traffic accident. In addition, he caused a traffic accident under the influence of alcohol on Christmas Eve. Therefore, his suspended sentence became an effective prison sentence of four years.
