At the European Wrestling Championship held in Bucharest, Romania, Yasemin Adar Yiğit beat Bulgarian Vanesa Stoyanova Georgieva with technical superiority in the 76 kg eliminations. She advanced to the final by beating Pauline Denise Lecarpentier 7-3 in the quarter-finals and Hungarian Bernadett Nagy by pinfall in the semi-finals. In the final, she defeated Ukrainian Anastasiia Shustova with a technical advantage of 12-1 in the final and became the European champion for the 7th time.
