In its next announcement, the Spanish team announced that 42-year-old Alvaro Arbeloa, a former football player who has been coaching Real Madrid’s youth teams since 2020, was appointed to the position of coach vacated by Alonso.
Alonso had 24 wins, 4 draws and 6 losses in 34 matches with Real Madrid.
Arbeloa, who played for Real Madrid 238 times between 2009-16, won 8 cup championships, including 2 UEFA Champions League and 1 LaLiga.
