The American show wrestler Hulk Hogan (71) died. That reports entertainment website TMZ. Terry Gene Bollea, as he was called, is said to have been struck on Thursday by a cardiac arrest in his house in Florida. Sportbond World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) confirms the news.
In the 1980s, Bollea grew with his characteristic mustache and bandana into one of the best known faces in the history of the WWE. He won six times it WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Icons like André The Giant, Randy Savage and The Undertaker made it against him. With his sense of drama, he helped struggle to a much larger audience.
The WWE says it is “sad” due to his death. “Hogan is one of the most famous figures in pop culture and helped WWE to get global recognition in the 1980s,” said the union in one Message on X.
Bolleas Roel helped him with a film and television career. In 2005, the reality series much -watched in the Netherlands also appeared Hogan Knows Bestin which the wrestler was followed with his then wife Linda and his children Brooke and Nick. He also played supporting roles in various films, such as Rocky III,, ” Gremlins 2 and Muppets from Space.
The wrestler was repeatedly discredited for racist expressions. In 2015 he was removed from the WWE Hall of Fame after leaking a sex tape in which he racist about his daughter’s relationship with a black man. Three years later, Bollea got his honorary title in show wrestling back.
In recent years he has been conducting noisy campaign for US President Donald Trump. After the failed attack in the summer of 2024 on the life of the then presidential candidate, he expressed his support for Trump. He also appeared several times at Republican campaign meetings.
