Wouter de Vogel will remain trainer of the AZ Women for the rest of the season. The Alkmaar club announced this today. The former professional replaced Mark de Vries since mid-October, after he became unwell at the training complex in Wijdewormer.
The 33-year-old De Vogel, former player of AZ and Telstar, among others, started the season as assistant to De Vries. The Alkmaar club is satisfied with the development that the AZ Women have undergone since then. For example, Fortuna Sittard recently won. AZ occupies eighth place in the Premier League.
Kevin Jansen assists De Vogel. Jansen also remains active at AZ Under 16.
