Eight more days and then the largest running event in the Netherlands will break loose. Starting tickets for the Dam tot Damloop have not been available for months. Through NH Sport you still have a chance to participate at the last minute.

Ronald Schröer has been part of the Dam tot Damloop every year – NH Sport

It is the first time since 2019 that the Damloop from Amsterdam to Zaandam will be run again. An expected 40,000 participants will be at the departure on the Prins Hendrikkade in Amsterdam on Sunday 18 September. 16.1 Kilometers further the finish line is in the Peperstraat in Zaandam. NH Sport will broadcast the match live on television.

NH Sport will broadcast the competition run on 18 September from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. live on TV. The commentators are Edward Dekker and Roy van Eekelen.

From 13.00 to 15.00 you can watch the performances of the many thousands of recreational runners in a live TV broadcast. Presentation: Erik-Jan Brinkman.

People who missed a starting ticket because of the enormous interest in the event now have one last chance to participate. Marathon runner Ronald Schröer, sixteenth in 2019 in 49 minutes and 24 seconds, explains how.

Run the Dam tot Damloop just like Ronald Schröer – NH Sport / Thomas Brood

The women’s top athletes are the first to be shot at 10.19 am. The men follow six minutes later. Then it is the turn of the thousands of recreational runners.

Due to the corona measures, the Damloop was canceled in 2020 and 2021. The last edition was won in 2019 by Evaline Chirchir in 50 minutes and 32 seconds. She stayed ahead of the first man, Solomon Berihu.

Summary Dam tot Damloop 2019 – NH Sport

Organizer Le Champion aborted the 2019 edition prematurely. Due to the high temperatures, it was not responsible for the thousands of runners to complete the course from Amsterdam to Zaandam. The heat made people unwell and there was not enough assistance to finish the game safely.
