Switzerland has 13 points after five matches. Kosovo has 10 points and also has a lower goal difference than the Swiss. Kosovo will host Switzerland in the final group match on Tuesday. Slovenia and Sweden had already been eliminated.

Breel Embolo gave Switzerland the lead after just over ten minutes in Geneva. Benjamin Nygren scored the equalizer after more than half an hour. In the second half, Granit Xhaka converted a penalty and Dan Ndoye scored the third goal. Johan Manzambi determined the final score in extra time with the fourth Swiss goal.

Fisnik Asllani opened the scoring for Kosovo in Slovenia in the 6th minute. The Slovenian Zan Karnicnik helped the ball past his own goalkeeper in the second half.

Group C: Denmark is doing good business

Denmark did well in the qualifying series despite a draw against Belarus. The leader in Group C was stuck at 2-2 at home, but saw competitor Scotland lose 3-2 in Greece.

Denmark has 11 points with one match to go. Scotland are one point behind and have a much worse goal difference. The two countries will meet each other on Tuesday in the last match of the qualifying cycle in Glasgow.

Mikkel Damsgaard quickly gave Denmark the lead, but Belarus turned the game around in the second half with two goals in three minutes. Valeriy Gromyko scored the equalizer after a nice move, after which Nikita Demchenko gave the visitors the lead. Gustav Isaksen helped the home team tie the score again with a hard shot in the crossbar, 2-2.

Greece holds out against Scotland

Greece led 3-0 against Scotland after more than an hour, after goals from Anastasios Bakasetas, Konstantinos Karetsas and Christos Tzolis. Ben Doak and Ryan Christie then made it exciting again, but the visitors did not get further than 3-2. Bakasetas was sent off with two yellow cards in the final phase.
