World Cup dream for TSG Hoffenheim’s Prömel ended: ankle fracture confirmed

The injury was bitter, but now I find the scale of the 55 list just grotesque.
Over 50% of the players on this list will not make it to the World Cup, and some of them are still a long way off the necessary NM player performance in my opinion. That’s why we should finally keep the ball flat with the media. At least it annoys me.

Prömel is certainly a good Bundesliga player – certainly above average, but good enough to represent the national team at a World Cup? Come on. There are still a few players in his position in front of him. If two or three get injured – then he would be a logical option, but I don’t think there was ever a realistic chance that he would make the final squad as long as nobody got injured.

A bunch of players are named who appear to have made the 55 list but who have either never been nominated or have been nominated for quite some time. How many of these players should Flick take with him?! If he takes more than 3 or 4 of them with him (although I think that’s quite a lot), then he basically thwarts the entire last year of his work, in which he wanted to build a team for the World Cup. That would also make him unbelievable.

Well, one more week and then the squad will finally be up and all these reports will come to an end for now.
