Elif Nur Turhan, who defeated her undefeated opponent Beatriz Ferreira with a technical knockout (TKO) in the 5th round, returned to her hometown after the great victory. A welcome program was organized in Bayburt for the national athlete nicknamed ‘Golden Turkish Warrior’. The champion boxer came to the municipality with a convoy on Cumhuriyet Street and took a souvenir photo with his fellow citizens. Later, Bayburt Mayor Mete Memiş hosted Turhan in his office. President Memiş congratulated Turhan, wished him continued success and presented the national athlete with a painting with his picture on it.
Promising full support to the national athlete, President Memiş stated that Turhan will take his place in the stands if he sends his ticket, regardless of where his next match is.

Stating that his goals are big, world champion Turhan said, “It is difficult to get to the top, but it is even more difficult to stay at the top. Our goal is to be the undisputed best boxer in the world. We continue our work for this. We are doing our camps in the best way in our hometown, Bayburt. We have shown our strength to the world, we believe that we have shown it. We will continue to show it from now on. We will do whatever we can and continue to represent our flag and our country properly. We will strive for this.”
Turhan, who continued his undefeated streak by winning the 12th match of his professional career, inflicted the first defeat of his career on his undefeated rival Ferreira with his last win, and wrote his name in golden letters in world boxing history.
