World Athletics Championships: Mohumed misses 5000 meter semi-finals – Parsons continues

The German champion Mohamed Mohumed was eliminated at the World Championships in Athletics in Eugene over 5000 meters in the lead.

After the 23-year-old running talent from Dortmund was initially able to keep up with the top group on Thursday (local time), he lost his strength and ended up in 33rd place after 13:52.00 minutes.

Frankfurt’s Sam Parsons, on the other hand, made it into the semi-finals, finishing 14th in 13:24.50 minutes. Maximilian Thorwirth from Düsseldorf, who finished 28th in 13:43.02 minutes, didn’t make it either. Jacob Krop from Kenya, sixth in the World Championships, was the quickest in 13:13.30 minutes.
