The plans for the Def tower are not new. In 2020, Defense was in charge of the project. The tower comes on the naval base in Zeebrugge. The works should be able to start in three years.
The building, among other things, the Maritime Information Kruispunt (MIK) and the Maritime Operations Center (MOC) will be housed. The new tower will be equipped with extensive security measures, both physically and digitally.
