Work on the Spanjeveerbrug has finally started: ‘Temporary’ metal bridge will now be permanently replaced

The large, metal bridge that has connected Mendonk and Sint-Kruis-Winkel since the 1970s is finally being replaced. The Spanjeveerbrug was once intended as a temporary solution. After almost fifty years, it can no longer be repaired and is replaced by a concrete one. The bridge is an important link for traffic in the canal villages. Cars do not have to take a detour until March.
